Run a Cron Job at Noon

To run a job at noon every day, use 0 12 * * *. In cron's 24-hour clock noon is hour 12 (not 0 — that is midnight). The leading 0 is the minute.

Cron expression (minute hour day-of-month month day-of-week)

The expression

0 12 * * * fires at 12:00 noon every day. Minute = 0, hour = 12, and the rest are wildcards.

Cron hours are 0–23. Midnight is 0 (00:00) and noon is 12 (12:00). Don't confuse them — 0 0 * * * runs at midnight, not noon.

For noon on working days use 0 12 * * 1-5 (Monday–Friday).

0 12 * * * runs every day at 12:00 noon. Hour 12 is noon in the 24-hour clock cron uses.

Noon is 12. Midnight is 0. So 0 0 * * * is midnight and 0 12 * * * is noon.

Use 0 12 * * 1-5 — the 1-5 restricts it to Monday through Friday.
